Description

Dogwood sapak, a Turkmen grape variety of the late ripening period. The name "Red thread" was given because of the red color of the petiole. It belongs to the ecological and geographical group of oriental grape varieties. The bushes are very thick. The leaves are large, ovate, with a smooth surface, five-lobed, glabrous from below. The petiole notch is wide open, square. The flower is bisexual. The clusters are medium and large, cylindrical-conical, winged, dense. The berries are medium-sized, oval, and white. The skin is thin and fragile. The flesh is watery. The ripening of the shoots is good. The yield is up to 180 kg/ha. The grape variety is affected by oidium, salt-tolerant, drought- and frost-resistant. Grapes are used for fresh consumption and for the preparation of table wines.
