Quince

Description

Quince has been known for more than 4,000 years, a shrub or tree of the Pink family has flowers of white, light pink or bright orange color. The quince fruit is a false apple of spherical or pear-shaped, lemon or dark yellow color. Ripe quince has a hard, slightly creamy, hard flesh of beige color with many stony cells. Quince fruits have a tart, sweet astringent taste and a bright aroma.
