Vanilla

Description

Vanilla is a long—lived plant of the orchid genus. The plant consists of stems with superficial roots that wrap around the trunks of trees in order to rise to their top. Vanilla flowers are quite large in size, and have a greenish-white color. They bloom once a year, and it lasts for one day. They should be pollinated by small bees, which are found in southern Mexico.
