Blueberries

Description

Blueberry is a low deciduous shrub of the Heather family and its fruits are spherical purple-black berries with a silvery waxy coating. The size of the berries is from 5 mm to 1 cm, blueberries practically do not smell, but have a delicate taste. The flesh of the berries has a purple color and many small black seeds. Blueberries grow almost everywhere in the middle belt and to the north, they love coniferous forests and swampy places. Blueberries do not produce abundant harvests every year, depending on the temperature regime during the flowering period, which falls at the end of May – June. Blueberries are practically not grown artificially, they are harvested by hand, so the cost of fresh berries is quite high.
